Today’s technology of the week: Paper by 53. Here are all the details…
What is Paper by 53?
Paper by 53 is a very simple, free to use app for your iPhone or iPad that lets you take notes, scribble ideas, write text, put together charts and diagrams, write on photos and screenshots.
What does it do?
Here is a quick video that shows you exactly what Paper by 53 can do. In a nutshell Paper by 53 is a very simple app that lets you take notes, write checklists, doodle, draw, write over photos and screenshots. You can keep these notes to yourself or share them with other colleagues. You can also buy a Stylus pencil that helps with the creation of notes.
Why does it benefit assistants?
With any productivity app, it is the continual use of the product that makes it beneficial. Paper by 53 is really simple to use and it looks fantastic, which makes it a little easier to get in the habit of using it in the first place. Assistants are asked to take down and remember a lot of information, so having a great note taking app on their phone can be pretty handy. If you are quite visual the app is great because of how easy it is to use for doodles and if you prefer a little more structure the ability to quickly turn any note into a checklist is brilliant.
Why is it Practically Perfect PA’s tech of the week?
I’ve been using Paper by 53 for a while. My favourite feature is the folders that let me file all of my notes and the ability to doodle and draw over photos that I can then send on to my team. The pen looks beautiful and I can imagine a lot of Executive’s would feel super cool using one!
